The Diplomat's Cabinet is a next-generation media startup at the intersection of global communications and international affairs, aiming to make world events more accessible, actionable and relevant for today’s professionals and audiences.
Founded by Maria Luísa Moreira in 2024 as The Gender Diplomat Newsletter, the project began by spotlighting overlooked angles in foreign policy and global security at the intersection of gender and inequality. It now encompasses a broader spectrum: geopolitics, climate, defence, digital transformation, and more.
Each edition brings:
Bite-sized policy deep-dives and reflections on world events;
Interviews with top experts, diplomats, and advocates from around the world;
Curated brainfood, resources, and opportunities for diplomats at heart at every career stage.
The Diplomat’s Cabinet also includes a podcast, where each episode invites expert perspectives to analyse and explain topics ranging from NATO and gender parity to sanctions and soft power. All in under 30 minutes.
This project is rooted in innovation and bridges journalistic instinct for storytelling with analytical rigour.
